2026 Meet Season

Welcome to the 2026 meet season, please note all meets are tentative, subject to change. Schedule is for current team gymnasts who plan to compete for the 2025-26 season, all post-season meets and those after States incur additional charges. Payment billed to online account or send by due date. Please note certain gyms/levels will attend specific meets only. M22 is Phillipsburg, M28 Bound Brook, M41 Galloway, NJ

PARENTS MEET PAGE 101: Welcome to competitive gymnastics

1) Need USAG membership $73/renew, $25/first time (please do ASAP) https://usagym.org/membership/join/athlete/

2) Meet fees paid (installments for convenience $395/due every two month on the 15th, upper levels 4 payments, lower levels 2 payments, any meets not attending adjusted for last payment)

3) Meet fees cover full entry, team fees, all coaches fees and travel/stay expenses. Even if not attending meet, your level team attends you must cover team fees ($25/meet), travel meets are roughly $300+/event, in state meets $250-200, local home meets $150/event, mock meets $50/event. Meets requiring flights and POST SEASON state/regional/national are separate expense based on who qualifies and attends.

4) Apparel (same as last year, only need if you do not have from last year), Magma jacket $300, Sylvia P leotard (DP and Xcel Gold and up) $300, GK Leotard $100 for Novice Bronze and Silver (used leotards half price), Magma pants $100, Magma Backpack $70, training leotard…given as gift)

5) Families are responsible for transporting athletes to competitive venue, day and times are assigned a few weeks or month before the competition so be flexible on dates and don’t choose non-refundable hotels. ie Atlantic City Convention Center July 31 Friday 8am Xcel Ruby. (Yes meets can be held on school days) Once arrive check in and find Magma coaches, athletes must stay with team until the event is done and support, followed by awards right after, expect 4 hours per competition meet time. Once done athletes return to parents for travel home. During the week of meets, training schedules are altered and gymnasts are assigned a ONE TOUCH, this is the last practice before the meet and quick, hence a one touch training.

6) Never contact the meet site directly always contact the Magma Meet Director John Min or your coach. Report times please be on time or 15 minutes early but no need to be earlier as venue won’t be open, if late check in and find team on floor, we will move that athlete to the last rotation. Competition is General warm up, followed by warmup and compete on each event in alphabetical order BARS, BEAM, FLOOR, VAULT (event start is random so you may be on any event first but the order stays same), with other team or Magma only squads. Some meets will have a separate training equipment and then move to compete elsewhere.

7) Awards are given to the top athletes placing based on age groups, designated by birthday of when states is assigned. Awards for vault, bars, beam, floor, all around, and team. Some meets will award the top half of qualifiers and ties are determined by highest individual scores. Team is the top three scores in each event totaled.

BRONZE TEAM MEET SCHEDULE 2025 Meet fees due August 15, 2nd final due Oct 15, state fee separate cost if you qualify and attend. Magma leotard, jacket, pants, backpack required to purchase.
